We imagine Rufus Putnam was impressed by the abundance of flora such as Speedwell. Natural resources like clay, coal and river ways attracted potters from across the Atlantic. They built kilns and potteries throughout the Ohio River Valley quickly crowned the capital of pottery. This history is present in our collection; each piece has a story wrapped in mystery. Each new discovery opens the door to research and exploration of a past present in the woods that we roam, streams that we follow in this place we call home.
We love to tell stories about each of our discoveries. We hope they bring inspiration and pleasure to you . . . and most of all, we hope to hear your story.
